Information on our Acoustic Quilt

Acoustic Quilt consists of a laminate of 25mm Acoustic Fibreglass, 2Kg acoustic membrane and 25mm Acoustic Fibreglass. Combined, these products give a superior level of sound absorption and also act as a very effective sound barrier stopping noise and reducing the amount of noise that passes through it.

It performs approx 4 times better than normal acoustic mineral wool as has a sound stopping barrier layer sandwiched in the middle which blocks airborne sound comparable to lead.

Acoustic Quilt exceeds Part E Resistance to the Passage of Sound making it an attractive product for both new build and conversion of existing buildings into flats.

Acoustic Quilt can up rate a typical 12.5mm partition by up to 16dB!
Acoustic Quilt can up rate a typical floor section by up to 13dB!

Environmental Information.
The quilting used in this product is a glass mineral wool product, manufactured from silica sand, the Earth's most abundant naturally occurring mineral. Glass mineral wool is one of the most environmentally friendly insulation materials. Inorganic and completely inert, over 70% of the raw material used in the production cycle are recycled. This process does not include the use of CFC's, HCFC's or other environmentally damaging gases.
